JPA Scholarship

I do agree that we should give scholarship to all high achievers regardless of race but at the same time it has to be balanced. Those who can afford should not be given scholarships because they can go on their own. We must have well thought out criterion so that it wont be subject to abuse. If the end result shows inbalance, then adjustments made to balance it out. Then those under scholarships, must be bonded via working with GLCs. This will reduce brain drain.

For those who renege, the government has the right to deduct from the EPF of the guarantors. Overseas scholarships must only be given for certain courses, students track record, language ability, maturity and leadership qualities. Worth to carry out special exams and interviews to filter and identify the good ones.
